Veteran Canadian troubadour James Gordon will perform at Qualicum Beach Community Hall (644 Memorial Dr.) on Sept. 23.

After more than 10 years as the resident singer songwriter for CBC’s Basic Black, there’s not much either topical or personal that Gordon hasn’t written a song about, according to a news release by Mick Sherlock, Oceanside Folk/Roots Club producer.

Gordon’s work has graced the albums of The Cowboy Junkies and his song ‘Frobisher Bay’ has been recorded by more than 100 different artists, according to the release.
