It is all fine and well to have automated curbside garbage pickup when there is space to store the large containers in your personal garage or out of sight in your yard during non-pickup days.
However, there are those of us who have neither a large enough garage to accommodate both a vehicle and these oversized containers nor have a big enough yard for out-of-site storage such as townhouses and patio homes. I repeat, these standardized containers are large.
I don’t see how “reduced human and wildlife interactions” or “improved neighbourhood appearance” is accomplished.
