I would like to clarify some parts of your article ‘Mixed Feelings’ (PQB News, April 16).
In the second section on Page 9 you quote me as saying “McLean said Bowser needs the sewer system to build the community to its full density potential”.
While that is accurate, it was in response to a question about what the effect for Bowser was of losing the grant. This is immediately followed by another quote that was taken entirely out of context.
When I said “It is needed, it is still going to be built. I want to be pretty clear on that”, I speaking about housing in Bowser. The way these two quotes were presented appears to have me referring to the sewer system.
While I understand that this will make for great headlines, it is disingenuous to say the least. I have been opposed to the marine disposal option from the beginning and I campaigned against it. I hope in the future you will make greater efforts to place comments in their proper context in your reporting.
