As I was driving into Parksville a couple of days ago I noticed a man to my right, waiting to cross the side street.
He caught my eye as he seemed truly nervous and was not moving forward even though the side street was clear of traffic and he could safely proceed.
There happened to be a lady in a blue coat crossing the street in the opposite direction to this man. She got near him and they had a brief chat after which she turned around and walked the gentleman across the street.
I hope said lady in the blue jacket sees this and knows that she likely made that man’s day. I would like her to know that she also made mine. Through a simple act of kindness. It’s the little things. Which we all can do.
