This Saturday, residents can get their hands on beautiful, original artwork with the proceeds going to a good cause.
It’s the Nile Creek Enhancement Society’s third annual Painting by the Numbers, where each ticket holder’s name will be drawn at random, giving them a choice of a professional painting by well known artists like Ken Kirkby, Brian Buckrell, Cindy Mawle and Cecile van Woensel.
Tickets are $500 each and limited to the 50 works donated. Ticket holders are guaranteed one of the original paintings. A preview of the paintings will happen from 3 to 4 p.m. and the draw will commence at 4:15 p.m. The funds raised will support the Nile Creek Enhancement Society’s ongoing projects for the benefit of salmon habitats.
