The Christian Fellowship Centre offers a program of divorce recovery called DivorceCare, which attempts to provide healing for people experiencing the pain of divorce. Ron and Joan Guthrie co-ordinate and facilitate the 13-session program.
Divorce can be one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. The program is effective because it balances learning with support. The typical session begins with a 45-minute video in which experts talk about the topic for the week, e.g. anger, new relationships, depression, financial survival, “KidCare,” and forgiveness.
DivorceCare is nondenominational and everyone is welcome who is separated or divorced. Running concurrently is Divorce Care for Kids.
