Never stopped believin’? Get to the Port

Show will pay tribute to the sounds of 30 years ago

NANAIMO — If you are feeling nostalgic for the 1980s there are still tickets available for JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED at the Port Theatre on March 10.

JOURNEY UNAUTHORIZED is an authentic re-creation of the iconic 1980s group whose music defined pop culture.

Perry Stevens has performed before more than one million people around the world and has captured the essence of the Journey vocals with his life-like portrayal of legendary Journey front-man Steve Perry.

Ray Potter has played along with such legends as B.B. King and Loverboy. Potter is a 15 year member of the National Academy of Performing Arts and Sciences and votes annually in 11 Grammy Award categories.

Damian Mantle is a graduate of the acclaimed Blue Bear School of Music heavily inspired by Journey’s Neal Schon and brings the technical accuracy, passion, and character of Schon to the tribute band.

Jimmy Wells showcases and emulates the drum styles of Journey note for note while Dave Matthews displays a justifiably true representation of Ross Valory and the timeless vocal stylings of Gregg Rolie.

The show will pay tribute to the sights and sounds of the band of 30 years ago with hits such as Lights, Separate Ways, Who’s Cryin’ Now, Anytime, Open Arms, Anyway You Want it, Faithfully, Wheel In the Sky, and the favourite Don’t Stop Believin’.

Tickets are at Port Theatre box office, online at www.porttheatre.com or charge by phone 250-754-8550. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show 7:30 p.m. on Sat., March 10.
