Several Parksville Qualicum Beach area businesses were among those honoured at the 23rd Annual MNP LLP Vancouver Island Business Excellence Awards.
A total of 119 companies competed for honours in 18 categories at the sold-out event held at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre on Feb. 1.
Maigus Group Inc of Parksville won the Professional Services honour; in the Retail category, M&N Mattress & Sofa of Parksville took home the top award.
The Industry Manufacturer Award went to K&S Railings of Parksville; Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Resort & Conference Centre of Parksville won the Hospitality & Tourism Award; and the Trades Award went to Osprey Electric Ltd. of Parksville.
Norm’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning of Nanaimo was named Big Business of the Year while the Small Business of the Year went to Field Five Farm Ltd. of Saanichton.
Tectonica Management Inc. of Nanaimo was the Mid-Sized Business of the Year.
