Do you miss the joy of singing Christmas carols in the community?

Join Sylvia Humble and her Sing Again community choir for an old-fashioned singalong at the McMillan Arts Centre (MAC) in Parksville.

The events take place on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m., and Thursday, Dec. 21 at 3:30 p.m., at the MAC (133 McMillan St.), according to a news release.

“We’ll sing a mix of traditional Christmas carols and pop classics, including John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, and Gordon Lightfoot’s ‘Song For a Winter’s Night’,” the release said.

View the song list and pre-register to save your seat at www.sylviahumble.ca/christmas. Walk-ins are welcome while capacity allows.

In the spirit of giving, admission is by donation (sugggested $15 or pay what you can) and 25 per cent of proceeds will go to the Society of Organized Services to support community programs this winter.

Chrissandra Unger will accompany on piano, and the lyrics will be projected up on the big screen.

The event will also be broadcast live in Humble’s Facebook group, “Sing with Sylvia and Friends” so you can sing along from the comfort of your home.

All voices are welcome, rusty or shiny — it’s not about perfection, it’s about connection!
