Adam Fras will run for re-election to Parksville city council this October.

Fras has served four years on both Parksville council and the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) board of directors.

He has a Level 1 Certificate in Local Government Leadership and holds a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Victoria, according to a news release.

Along with his experience, he offers continuity on council to the community and continues to bring forward a voice of balance and reason, read the release.

As a longtime community volunteer, you will often see Fras taking action whenever there is a call for help, said the release. His years of service with Arrowsmith Search and Rescue, Parksville Volunteer Fire Department, and Big Brother and Big Sisters Canada, to name a few, are examples of his community service, when not fundraising for organizations like the BC Lung Association, Workability, or the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock.

“It’s with this sense of duty to my community that I offer myself for re-election as a Parksville councillor in 2022,” he said.
