B.C. Conservative Party leader speaks in Nanoose on Sunday

The meeting of the constituency association is open to the public

Newly-elected party leader Dan Brooks will be the featured speaker at the annual general meeting of the B.C. Conservative Party's Parksville-Qualicum Constituency Association at Nanoose Centre Sunday at 2 p.m.

"The recent election of Brooks as leader of the party  . . . is an event which bodes well for the future well-being of our province," local constituency vice-president Leonard Melman said in a news release. "In capturing the party leadership after a hard fought campaign, Brooks has conclusively proven that he has what it takes to re-invigorate a previously-moribund party. Brooks is a young man with a mission and a vision. The next few years leading up to the provincial election should prove very interesting indeed."

Melman said the meeting is open to the general public as well as party members.
