For just a couple million dollars, you could own the College Heights development.
The property, described as "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of the nicest pieces of development around," is listed on realtor Clinton Miller's website for $2.5 million.
Back in August, the Sitefinders Group of Companies had secured the rights to complete the development of the College Heights site in Qualicum Beach. The firm held an open house on Aug. 18 and a design charette the following morning. They invited everyone to see the new plans.
Qualicum Beach director of planning Luke Sales said one of the firm's fundamental issues with the development received a lot of challenges from the people attending.
Sales said Sitefinders proposed doubling the density on the site, but he added that idea didn't appear to have much traction with the public.
"From (the firm's) perspective, it was what was needed to make the project work," Sales said. He also said Sitefinders stepped away from the project near the end of September.
