District backs off on Morello Road property cleanup

Nanoose Bay couple won't have to get rid of their antique machinery after all

A Nanoose Bay couple can breath a sigh of relief this week after   the Regional District of Nanaimo directors voted to stop any further action regarding an unsightly premesis complaint.

The issue hit the papers this month after Ann Barber made two trips to the RDN to plead her case and that of her husband, Wayne, who collects antique machinery at their treed property on Morello Road.

At Tuesday night’s committee of the whole meeting a motion to take no further enforcement actions, as the property is substantially in compliance with the bylaw, was passed unanimously with no comment.
