Bowser Elementary School and the VIU Deep Bay Marine Field Station have announced a partnership in education for the next school year.

“This partnership will be a great benefit for hands-on learning within a professional scientific community,” said Brian Worthen, Acting Principal at Bowser Elementary School.

The partnership is in the early stages but both parties are committed to having students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 participate in science activities both inside and outside the facility next school year, Worthen said.

Plans include Grade 6 students utilizing the top-notch kitchen facilities at the station for some home economics training.
