IMPRESSIVE RESPONSE: The hot and dry weather certainly has local fire departments on alert. A fire on Wednesday morning near the Qualicum Beach Airport that reportedly started in a garage had a quick response from all fire departments in the region. There were no further details about the blaze available by press time on Canada Day.
