One man was transported to hospital after an incident involving a flare at Raven Point Marina in Ladysmith this afternoon, Sept. 23.
B.C. Emergency Health Services loaded the man into an ambulance to take him to a landing site for an air ambulance. Eyewitnesses said the man injured his foot and sustained severe burns after stepping on a flare.
No one else was injured in the incident and there were no damages to property.
