A number of cyclists took to the trails on Saturday, to join in a celebration of the marked routes that link Parksville and Qualicum Beach.
Cyclists, runners, walkers and rollers can now follow the signs through low traffic roads and trails around the two communities.
A celebration on Saturday had both Parksville and Qualicum Beach mayors leading a bike ride from their respective towns and meeting in the middle at Oceanside Place. At the back parking lot a celebration was planned with food, drinks, singing by Jessica Kelly, information tables and prizes.
