The mayors of Parksville and Qualicum Beach received several gifts from North Saanich recently.

Geoff Orr, District of North Saanich mayor, sent them a Peninsula Panthers jersey, along with flags of North Saanich and Sidney.

Orr wrote a letter, thanking Parksville Mayor Ed Mayne for initiating a friendly wager that the loser of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League championship between the Oceanside Generals and the Peninsula Panthers would wear the victorious team’s jersey and fly the flags of the winning municipalities.
