Police seek female suspect in Errington robbery

The suspect is described as a short female, 30-50 years old, with light-coloured hair

Police are looking for a female suspect after a robbery at a Bellevue Road store Saturday morning.

Oceanside RCMP say they responded to a robbery at the Pet Mania Store in Errington. Police say a female suspect entered the store and demanded cash from an employee. The cash was handed over to the suspect immediately and nobody was harmed. The suspect then fled the scene. It is unknown whether she left on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a short female, 30-50 years old, with light-coloured hair.

Reports from NEWS readers suggested there was a weapon involved in the robbery, but police would not confirm this.

"There will be no further details released as the file is ongoing and further information could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation," said Cpl. Jesse Foreman.

If you have any information on this crime, please contact the Oceanside RCMP, 250-248-6111.
