RCMP: No injuries reported in rollover crash in Nanoose Bay

Police say passengers indicate driver left the scene

A morning drive suddenly turned upside down on Monday, April 19.

At 9:55 a.m., police were notified of a single-vehicle crash on Dolphin Drive in Nanoose Bay.

The Nanoose Bay Volunteer Fire Department and an ambulance were already on scene when police arrived.

An overturned, uninsured, red sedan was spotted off the main road as firefighters directed traffic around the scene.

“Police spoke with three persons who claimed to be passengers in the vehicle. They reported that the driver had departed prior to police arrival,” wrote Sgt. Stephen Rose with the Oceanside RCMP in an email to PQB News.

Rose confirmed that no one was injured during the collision and asked that any potential witnesses contact police at 250-248-6111, citing police file 2021-3783.
