If you don't vote in the municipal election, your opinion matters less

  • Nov. 11, 2011 12:00 p.m.

Take an active part in this civic election — make sure you are registered to vote.

To ensure you are on the local voters’ list, contact your municipal government office directly. Speak with the electoral officer to see if you are on the list. Do it now to avoid delays and inconvenience at the polls.

If you are not sure you’re on the list on election day, Nov. 19 — or at the Nov. 16 advance poll —bring ID, a recent bill with your address on it — take action in your own hands to ensure you can help decide the future.
