STUDENTS HELPING ANIMALS: Students from the Winchelsea Leadership Group presented Nadine Durante from the Parksville-Qualicum SPCA with a cheque for $211 last month. The money will be used to help support her with her efforts in caring for the animals that the SPCA receives. The leadership students hosted a candy-gram event within the school in order to raise the funds. These students and many others in the leadership group have been instrumental in raising money for other charities since September.
