Long-time, tireless Parksville volunteer Joan Lemoine was quite surprised Thursday night when MLA Ron Cantelon called her up to receive the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal at the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting at Tigh-Na-Mara.
