Two all-candidates forums in the next few days

Parksville Qualicum MLA candidates at Knox United Church on Sunday and Parksville Community Centre on Monday

  • May. 2, 2013 9:00 a.m.

Voters in the Parksville Qualicum Beach constituency will have the opportunity to question the people who want to be their MLA in two all-candidates forums in the next few days.

First up is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Knox United Church, where the Oceanside Coalition for Integrated Care Advocacy is hosting a forum they say will concentrate on seniors’ issues only.

Next up is a forum sponsored by the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce and The Parksville Qualicum Beach News, Monday starting at 7 p.m. at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre. John Harding, the editor of The NEWS, will moderate this forum.

All three officially declared candidates vying to be the MLA for Parksville Qualicum have confirmed for both meetings (Barry Avis of the NDP, David Coupland of the Conservatives and Michelle Stilwell of the Liberals).

The provincial election is May 14.
