They say a good, hard rain is like having an extra 10 cops on the beat and that certainly appears to have been the case on the Victoria Day long weekend in Oceanside.
RCMP Corporal Jesse Foreman said while there were several files opened, it was an unusually quiet long weekend.
“It was an unbelievably slow weekend,” he said. “There were a lot of files, but nothing really major."
