Volunteers step forward for Qualiucm Beach Downtown Business Association

Organization now has full board of directors and the new chair is Dianne Martel of Petite Pizzazz in Qualicumm Beach

After operating with just three, the Qualicum Beach Downtown Business Association has a full board of five after their recent AGM.

Treasurer Katherine Wilk of Faye's Gifts said it was a good meeting and they were happy to get some more dedicated volunteers.

The new chair is Dianne Martell of Petite Pizzazz, vice chair is Lilo Curt of Fresh n Fabulous Flowers, Dave Wood of Remax Realty is the secretary and BMO's Kelly Bleu rounds out the full board.

Faye McKnight, also of Faye's Gifts, will remain on as the past chair.

The organization, which Wilk said is a great avenue to help bring and keep shoppers in town, has a paid membership of 60.

They have a number of ongoing promotional programs including rack cards distributed through merchants, visitor centres and B.C. Ferries, a radio campaign to promote local activities and merchants, moonlight madness and the uptown summer market.
