Public Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 59 of the Community Charter, that the Council of the City of Parksville intends to consider public representations during the regular meeting of Council to be held Monday, November 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Forum at the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville, BC on the following bylaw:
“BUSINESS LICENCE AMENDMENT BYLAW, 2023, NO. 1550.1”
This bylaw proposes to amend City of Parksville “Business Licence Bylaw, 2018, No. 1550”. In general terms, the purpose of the proposed business licence amendment bylaw is to facilitate a site-specific exemption to the seniors’ care facility distance separation requirement to allow a non-medical cannabis retail store to be located at 389 Alberni Highway. The subject property at 389 Alberni Highway is legally described as Lot B, District Lot 14, Nanoose District, Plan EPP110171 [PID: 031-369-235] and is shown shaded on the map below:
