With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Albert, with his wife Jenny by his side, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC, after a short battle with lymphoma cancer. Predeceased by his first wife Jackie, he is survived by Jenny, his wife of twenty years, sister-in-law Ev. Staller, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, all of Kamloops and Surrey, BC, plus Jenny’s daughters, son and grandchildren.
Albert was born in Port Alice, BC and worked in the mills for 41 years - Port Alice 1947-1972 and Gold River 1972-1988. He then retired to Parksville, BC. Al enjoyed travelling, cruising, camping and playing crib with Jenny. He was much loved by all and will be sadly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Rd Parksville, BC on Saturday, June 23, 2012 @ 2:00PM. Refreshments will follow.
