ALEXANDER G. KEITH
It is with a heavy heart we mourn the loss of our father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Alexander George Keith was born October 31, 1935 in Edinburgh, Scotland and passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Hospice, September 5, 2014.
He is survived by his children Tracy, of Williams Lake, Deborah (John), of Gibsons, Alex (Corinne) of Campbell River; his younger siblings Jacky (Kate), Tony (Pauline), Sylvia, Andy (Chris), David (Dianne), brothers all of Aldershot, England and sister of Burlington, Ontario.
Alex joined the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders at age 17 in Britain, immigrated to Canada at age 21 and joined the Canadian Seaforth Highlanders.
Outside of the military, Alex mostly drove buses and trucks and loved to meet new people. He was heavily involved with his local Royal Canadian Legions (both # 83 in Burnaby and #49 in Parksville) for 45 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the
Parksville Legion (Hirst Ave.) on Monday,
September 15 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the
Legion Poppy Fund
would be appreciated.
