“The Gardens” on September 8, 2007
Beloved wife of Neil for 57 years. Loving mother of Norman (Dorothy) Ellis, Isobel Walker, Jane Walker. Grandmother of Frances (Ian) Stevens, Patricia Ellis, and great grandmother of Scott Stevens, John Stevens, Allison Stevens. Survived by brother, Clifford Martin of Medicine Hat, Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was born a Nanton, Alberta on November 1, 1917. Alice and Neil moved to Qualicum Beach in 1973 after retiring from farming in the Nanton area of southern Alberta. They were active members of the Wandering Turtles and volunteer drivers for SOS for numerous years. Alice was a member of the choir a St. Columba, Presbyterian Church, at French Creek. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends and won awards at the local fairs for crocheting and knitting.
Alice was nicknamed “Sunshine” at The Gardens for her ever ready smile. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends
