Audrey Jean Doughty

October 6, 1914 – March 4, 2015

Audrey was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, one of ten children and was still living there when she met and married Norman in 1942. Through Norm’s RCAF career they spent time in Whitehorse, Germany and several other locations within Canada. Having left military life, Audrey & Norm moved to Surrey, BC in the late 1950’s with their two children, and then to Qualicum Beach in 1973. Audrey was one of the first to move into the ‘Gardens at Qualicum Beach’ in 2006 into independent living. There she made many friends and was the ‘unofficial ambassador’ to meet and greet guests at various functions. Family & friends were fortunate to help her celebrate her 100th birthday in October 2014. Always thinking of others and cheerful to all, Audrey will be missed by family and all those who knew her.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband Norm in 2001 and survived by her children Wayne (Anke), daughter, Sandra Keddy (Dave), grandson,

Blair Keddy (Michelle) and two

great grandchildren, Vanessa and Trentin.
