WILKINSON, Barbara Bernyce (Barby)
Born October 24, 1952passed away February 15, 2006.
Born Barbara Bernyce Cavan in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to loving parents Thomas and Bernice Cavan passed away on February 15, 2006 in her home in Qualicum Beach after a year long struggle with esophageal cancer and its effects.
Barby is survived by her mother Bernice Cavan, sister Betty Tiede, brothers David and Graham, nephews Glen, Darren, Brent, Ryan, and nieces Donna and Alexandra, along with each of their respective families.
She was predeceased by her farther and now stands tall, no longer confined to a wheelchair or riddled with pain. Together with Christ Jesus they will continue to guide and protect we who have yet to depart. It is Barb’s express wish that we who remain take up the torch and carry the Gospel to all who need it near and far.
Barby loved children and although she never gave birth herself she treated and taught each one as if her own. Her Sunday school students already miss her and so do we. As her husband of 27 years, it is my request that we all would grieve as we need and then step forward to help “Celebrate” her life and remember all the blessings she brought to each of our lives.
We’ll meet to Celebrate on February 25, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, BC.
