BERTRAM EDWARD BEAVEN
Bert Beaven died peacefully Thursday,
September 17, 2015, at the Gardens.
Born May 17, 1933 in Weir, Quebec, he spent 22 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, with many foreign postings, and then back to Canada where he worked another 25 years at Harmac in Nanaimo.
He enjoyed being a part time truck driver with his son Rick, and it was one of his fondest memories.
Married to Jean for over 50+ years, he has 3 children: Ed, Margo and Rick; four grandchildren: Whitney, Thomas, Lance and Gatlin; and many adopted grandchildren: Kathy, Madeline and Nomi, as well as beloved great grandchildren.
Bert will be greatly missed by friends and family. Special thanks to the wonderful staff, workers, and care aides at The Gardens in Qualicum, for the excellent care they provided to Bert during his stay there.
Friends and family are invited to a
Celebration of Life for Bert at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 26 at the Stronghold Christian Fellowship,
2210 Morello Road, Nanoose Bay.
Please join the family for a potluck luncheon after the service. Everyone is welcome.
