Betty entered her rest on March 5, 2013 in Parksville, BC at the age of 85. She was born in Bainbridge (Port Alberni), BC on Dec. 29, 1927, to Harry and Gena Cowley. Betty was a creative soul who wrote poetry, prose and had a great love of God, family, nature, animals and music.

Survived by her children, Larry (Brenda) Kearton of Parksville, Susan Kearton of Calgary, AB and Kim (Paul) Lloyd of DeWinton, AB; grandchildren; Sarah Lloyd and Phillip Lloyd; great grandchildren Ryley and Keltyn Goldstein; sisters, Margaret Jacobs and Kay Green; sister-in-law Yvette Cowley; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by first husband Thomas Kearton and second husband Sandor Laskay; brothers Robert Cowley and Donald Cowley; brother-in-law John Jacobs; sister-in-law Mary Cowley.

Remembrance Service was held Saturday,

March 9, 2013, 11:30 am at Yates Funeral Chapel, 4470 Gertrude St, Port Alberni, BC.

Interment took place at the Greenwood Cemetery, 5360 Josephine Street, Port Alberni, BC.
