Callum Steele... Son, Brother, Clam, Big C, Man O Steele, Babe, Daddy. The name has changed over time for some, for others it has always been the same. For the past twelve years, you’ve been my love, my best friend. Your smile, your bright eyes, your infectious laughter. We will forever remember your energy, your kindness and your happiness. Thank you for all that you have taught us. About the important things in life, about family and friendship and unconditional love that cannot be described in words. Never fret the small stuff. Love life! Love each other! Help someone. Be selfless. Each time we do, we will feel you watching over us. We promise to keep your memory alive every day and promise to care for the beautiful daughter you helped create, Maddison Kelsey, the most wonderful gift. We will see your face in hers every day. In her eyes and her smile. What a life to take, what a bond to break, we’ll be missing you. As you so perfectly quoted Classified “Cuz life can be a bitch, but life can be a gift. So slow it down, cuz life can be too quick”.

WuTang Forever. NBC for life. We will love you until the end of our days.

Our Dearest Callum,

On October 17th, 1985 you arrived into our lives a month early, ready to start living your life in Nanoose Bay. From that very first day you were always considered a special gift. You touched so many lives in the 31 years you were with us. Without even realizing it, you helped others to find strength to face life’s hurdles and obstacles. You blessed us all with your presence, your teasing ways, your smile (mischievous eyes) and your laughter. You could make people laugh so hard that they would cry. You were well respected, dearly loved and we are all better people for having had you in our lives. Everyone knew how important your family was to you and how very much you loved them. You were a loving son, brother, husband and an amazing father. You were a compassionate friend, mentor to many and always willing to help others whenever you could. In your life, you lead with your heart. We have lost a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. We all thank you for having been here, on this earth, for all of us to love. On February 2nd, 2017 you left us, far too soon. We will never, ever forget you and you will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace our dearest Callum.

With love, mom, Brenda Allan, stepdad, David Wood, sister, Heather Steele (Elliott Norton), father, Fraser Steele and of course our loved ones Amanda and Maddison.
