Clarke Douglas Pollock

March 25, 2024

August 16, 1953 - March 25, 2024

In loving memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarke Pollock, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, who left our side on March 25, 2024. Born August 16, 1953, in Victoria, BC, he spent his life embracing the great outdoors and forming deep connections with those around him.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Doreen, sister Linda, and parents, Shirley & Cyril. Clarke is lovingly remembered by his children, Tina (Rick), and Owen; stepchildren, Darryl (Trish), and Michelle (Rob); grandchildren, Marshall, Kassidy, and Jaxson; step-grandchildren, Emilia, Lucas, Katryna, and Kylie; siblings, Barbara (Bob), Sharon (Doug), and John (Lynn); many nieces and nephews; and special pal Aki.

From a very young age, Clarke demonstrated an unwavering work ethic. At just 16 years old, he began his career as a deckhand on the tugs, learning the ropes of maritime life. As a young man, he spent summers guiding and commercial fishing, immersing himself in what he adored.

Clarke was most at home in the woods. His love for the wilderness was evident in his ethical hunting practices and his profound respect for the environment. He possessed a vast knowledge and love of birds, and even took up beekeeping in his retirement - a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature once again. As an avid motorcyclist, Clarke embarked on countless adventures across Canada and the USA. The open road was his canvas, and he painted it with memories.

Clarke's loyalty knew no bounds, and he formed lifelong bonds with friends who became like family. His infectious laugh, kind heart, and fun-loving personality endeared him to everyone he met.
