Cornelius James (Jim) Neufeld
August 26, 1923 – July 11, 2013
It is with great sadness that the family announces Jim’s passing. Loving husband of 27 years to wife, Nina; father to son, Gary (Debi) Neufeld, Jim was predeceased by his first wife, Emily and daughter, Kathy.
Jim is also survived by his stepson Paul (Victoria) Young; stepdaughter Corry Allen; grandchildren Kimberly (Glenn) Maitland, Kelly (Chris) Phillips, Nicole Allen; great grandchildren Macy, Chasen, Cierra, and Caiden; brothers Herm (Ricki), Ben (Sharon), Vic (Wendy) , and Ernie (Maryl).
Jim’s career was largely spent in the cosmetics and apparel industries in both sales and management. His favourite hobbies and interests were golf, music, and choral singing – most recently with the St.Columba Church Choir and the Village Voices.
Jim and Nina moved to Oceanside in 1998, enjoying their retirement years. Jim particularly enjoyed his golf outings, choirs, and volunteer activities.
The family is especially grateful for the support and caring of friends and family. Jim will be greatly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at St.Columba Presbyterian Church, 921 Wembley Road in Parksville at 2:00 pm on Thursday July 18th. Interment to follow in St.Columba’s Memorial Garden.
