CUNNINGHAM, David Ian

Born January 10, 1920 Calgary, Ab. passed away peacefully April 11, 2007 at N.R.G.H.

Predeceased by his first wife 1982, is survived by his best friend and loving wife Joan, two daughters Leslie Anne, Carstairs, Ab, Brenda (Chris) Price, Edmonton, Ab., brother Bill (Norma) Calgary, Ab., sister-in-law Eva Rutz, Fort St. John BC, and Dorothy (Donat) Lamarche Dryden, Ont., nieces, nephews and cousins.

Served five years in RCAF during WWII, three overseas with Mosquito Squadron 409. Had a varied career, from salesman to health services. Was executive Director of the Heart and Stroke Foundation for the Province of Saskatchewan from 1972 to 1985 when he retired to Victoria. Moved to Parksville 1993.

An avid sportsman, loved to travel, Maui being his favourite place, also enjoyed cruising.

Member of Rotary Clubs in Saskatoon, Victoria and Parksville. David was a people person and loved life . He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial service April 18, 2007, 2pm at the Knox United Church, Reverend Foster Freed Officiating.
