Born in Thurso, Quebec, beloved first born son of the late Patricia Powers LaRocque (1970) and the late Jean Jacques LaRocque (1968), David was the oldest of their 3 children. He is dearly loved and remembered after he passed away peacefully in Parksville, B.C. at the age of 65.
He is now in the arms of his loving parents, joining all his extended family and friends who have gone before him. Predeceased by his brother Mark (2011), he leaves behind sister Joanne (Dean), nephews Neil (Jessica), and Jace, great-nephew Mason, great-niece Isla, Aunt Gail MacMillan & her husband Uncle John (Jack) MacMillan, cousins Dawn and Heather, second cousins Brianna, Daniel and Liam, Tante Francoise, Uncle Frank, and many members of the extended Powers and LaRocque families of cousins and friends too numerous to name, yet united together as we all hold a very special place in our hearts for him.
David is also lovingly remembered by roommates Ed and Greg, his fearless leader and dear friend Nicole Uzelman, all Gilley residence staff and others who knew him for many years. Special thanks to the palliative care staff at Trillium Hospice.
Our man David is free, happy and surrounded with the love, light and peace deserving of his beautiful soul. David was a gentle, unique force of nature with a highly inquisitive, intelligent mind. He will be remembered for his diverse interests in music, movies, electricity, all manner of lighting, and as Bugs Bunny's greatest fan.
