It’s with sadness we anounce the passing of Don Brittain. He was born in Coombs on February 22, 1938. He is survived by his loving wife Rose of 47 years, his children who he was so proud of, Don (Lee-Ann), Kevin (Angela), Kim (Chris), Trish (Ryan), Trevor, Tiffany (Craig), Jessie (Adam), grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Anita, Vicki, Ken, Mike, Jordanna, Caitlyn, Calvin, Dom, Theresa, Eddie, Logan, Cameron, Taylor, and Sydney. He also leaves behind his sister Kay, sister-in-law Bev, his beloved nieces and nephews, his best friend & cousin Bob, and his favorite dog Allie. Don was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Annie, his brothers John and Harold, his daughter Michelle, and an infant son.

Don has touched the lives of many as a foster parent, sports coach, 4-H leader, member of search & rescue, the local agicultural community, French Creek Community School, and a friend & mentor to many. He was a founding member of the Coombs fire department and remained an active member for 45 years until his passing.

A gathering to celebrate Don’s life will be held at the Coombs fair grounds (Ford Rd) in the new activities building on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 1:00pm.
