In Loving Memory ~
Douglas Russell Kinnee of Enderby, B.C. passed away peacefully at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm on January 29th, 2023. Doug's passing was due to a long battle with heart disease.
He was survived by his wife Sharon (nee Haugen), his son Chris, his daughter Teresa, his two grandchildren, Leif and Nolan, his brother Terry, and his sisters Joyce and Lori.
Doug grew up in NE Edmonton and attended Eastglen Composite High, carrying on to NAIT to complete his automotive mechanic apprenticeship. Later in life, he returned to NAIT to complete his marketing diploma.
Doug was a talented tradesman and an excellent businessman. He combined these talents becoming a pioneer in the propane conversion industry for passenger vehicles. He later owned a woodworking company in Edmonton, AB and a construction company in Enderby, B.C.
Doug enjoyed many outdoor activities and could be found on any given weekend to be exploring, camping and fishing. Doug had a passion for music, both playing and listening, and spent much of his time learning new songs to play on his guitars.
He was a master model car builder and had a showcase of most of the cars that he had owned, and a few that he wished he had.
Doug was a loving and caring husband, father, and friend, and will be sadly missed by those lives that he touched.
There will be a celebration of life held for Douglas in the Spring of 2023, and the family asks that any donation in his honour are made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
