She comes sailing on the wind Her wings flashing in the sun:
On a journey just begun
She flies on.
And in the passage of her flflight, Her song rings out through the night: Full of laughter, full of light
She flies on.
Her angel wings arrived on April 26th 2018, and with a gentle kiss we sent her on her way. Edna was a caring and much loved mother, wife, grandma, great grandma, sister, and friend. She embraced life with kindness and compassion and always had a beautiful smile for all who knew her.
A long-time Nanoose pioneer of 91 years, she belonged to the Garden Club, Community Club, Historical Society, and the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. One of her greatest passions was volunteering at Nanoose Bay Elementary School for 17 years - she loved the kids. She always found time for dancing, singing, and most importantly, her family.
Honoring her wishes, there will be a small family celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca/how-you-can-help/donate-now).
