EDWARD “TED” EDMUNDS

March 31, 1921 - October 7, 2013

Edward “Ted” Edmunds passed away peacefully in his sleep at Arrowsmith Lodge on the morning of the 7th Oct 2013. Ted was born in Nanaimo and lived all but a few years on Vancouver Island in Victoria and Bowser. A Veteran of WWII and member of the Bowser Legion for 9 years, Ted served in the RCN and in civilian life as a Boilermaker and Steel Worker. He moved to Bowser in the early 1950s working in Port Alberni and in private as a wood stove maker. Ted was predeceased by his first wife Isabelle, son John and brother Bill.

Ted was known for his attention to detail, generous nature, positive attitude, quiet personality and love of all things mechanical, especially motor cycles and cars. He was particularly proud of his part in building RCN Ships and BC Ferries at the Victoria Shipyard. Ted will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Joyce Bartram, Step-Sons Dave (Joyce) and Phillip (Judy) Bartram and Step-Daughter Colleen Bartram (Bob Goodwin), nieces Sharon Edmunds (Boyd), Cathy Bhandar (Buddy), and nephews Bill (Donna) and Robert (Nina) Edmunds.

There will be no service or celebration of life

at his request.
