Edward Victor Woytenko

May 25, 1943 – January 1, 2016 

Ed passed away peacefully at NRGH after a long battle with colon cancer. Ed is survived by his wife, Lois; his children - Donna (Paul); Cheryl (Darren); and Rob (Sandra); his grandchildren - Nicole, Shelby, and Tristen; his siblings - Shirley (Garnet); Bill (Mary); and Deborah (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ed was born and raised on a farm in Athabasca, AB, at 18 joined the RCMP where he served 20 years in regular service and 16 years in the air service.  Ed enjoyed his retired years spending the majority of his time with friends golfing at Morningstar Golf Course and curling at the Parksville Curling Club.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and volunteers at NRGH and the Cancer Clinic for their loving care of Ed and family during his battle with Cancer.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at

Morningstar Golf Course on Saturday,

January 16, 2016 from 1-4 pm.
