In Loving Memory ~
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Eileen Mary Harrison (nee Beech) passed April 11, 2024 in Victoria, B.C. Born May 14, 1928, in Radcliffe Lancashire England, she was one of four children.
She met Cliff Harrison, in 1945. After their marriage in 1948, Cliff (a member of the 2nd battalion of the Coldstream Guards) was sent to Malaya for two years. He returned in 1950, and in 1952 their first son was born.
In 1954, they immigrated to Canada with their son Paul, settling in Charleswood, Manitoba. In 1966, the family including now, a daughter and three sons, moved to Richmond, B.C. where Cliff started working for HY Louie (IGA stores). Eileen and Cliff lived there for many years.
After the children grew older, Eileen worked at Hudson's Bay, Okanagan Helicopters and UBC Alumni offices until she joined Cliff in retirement in 1996. They travelled quite a bit to different countries, particularly to the UK to visit with family.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband Cliff (2010), sons Mark (2016) and Paul (2020), and granddaughter Brekke.
She is survived by her daughter Lucie (Randy), son Nigel (Sarah), ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on May 18, 2024 at St Marks Church in Qualicum, Beach,138 Hoylake Road West, Qualicum Beach.
