It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Elaine Cummings Dec 6, 2008 at the age of 64 years.
Mom will be forever remembered by her daughter Cathy Maas (Matt Graham) and her son Kevin Maas (Elissa Gray) and many other friends and people she touched in her life.
Although born in Alberta, Mom’s true love was for the ocean and she spent much time walking on the beach enjoying the beauty of the Parksville/Qualicum area.
Mom was an avid reader, a wonderful cook and had a great sense of humor that will be missed.
We would like to thank Nanaimo General Hospital and all the doctors and nursing staff in Acute and Palliative care.
A private family ceremony will be held and flowers are graciously declined.
In memory of our mother, Elaine, donations can be made in her name to the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation.
