The family of Betty Rebar announce, with sadness, the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Betty was a wonderful woman with a quick wit and kind heart.
She leaves to cherish her spirit her devoted husband, childhood sweetheart, and business partner George Rebar, children Kathlynn Rebar, Kelly Rebar, Michael Rebar and Sean Rebar, grandchildren Kari Rebar, Paul Rebar and Susannah Rebar, and great grandson Kosten Collins; her sisters Laverne MacLaine and Ruth Ager and brothers Leonard Coyne (Loretta) and Gerald Coyne (Julaine); as well as many special nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Carrie Coyne, sister Norma Shologan and brother Melvin Coyne, as well as her in-laws George and Kay Rebar. Betty was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and grew up on a pioneer farm in Southern Alberta. She and George raised their family in Lethbridge, Calgary and DeWinton where together they ran a business, Safeguard by Rebar, for twenty-four years before spending the last seventeen years living in Qualicum Beach, BC.
