“Uncle Ernie”
Oct. 15, 1916 – Dec. 10, 2012
Ernest Herman Reap (96) of Qualicum Beach, passed away peacefully in Palliative Care at Nanaimo Hospital.
Ernie predeceased by three brothers, John, Ray and Glen.
Ernie was a WWII Veteran, he was an avid horseman, raised mink, and grew orchids in his “younger days”
Ernie loved camping, fishing and hunting, he cooked, baked, canned (everything) smoked fish, gardened and maintained a lovely yard.
Ernie will be sadly missed by his close friends Carol and Sam Strynadka, their family who all called him “Uncle Ernie”; friends near and far, niece Sylvia (Steve), and two nephews Bryon and Lorne, and Timmy (dog)
Cremation has already taken place.
There will be a “drop in” Celebration of Life
for Ernie in our home (Strynadka’s) on
Sat. Feb. 23 from 1:00pm to…..
