In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Frank Houghton on February 9, 2024. Frank was born in Widnes, U.K., and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1966 with wife Betty and their two daughters. They settled in Tsawwassen in 1973 and eventually retired to Vancouver Island in 2001.
Frank will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour. He loved to make people laugh and always had a trick up his sleeve.
He was a proud aeronautical engineer and skilled craftsman, making many wonderful keepsakes. He enjoyed classical music, playing the piano and harmonica, and photography.
Frank was a gifted athlete in his youth and as an adult, a tennis player and coach.
Predeceased by his wife Betty, and parents Jack and Hilda.
Survived by daughters Janet Frosst (Mike), Judy Houghton, grandchildren Janelle Kehler (Paul), Jaclyn Leciej (Matt, Ayden and great granddaughter Olive), Brad Schmied (Natalie), and brother John Houghton.
Dad you are in our thoughts, loved dearly and now together with Mum again. A celebration of life to be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Qualicum Legion (180 Veterans Way, Qualicum).
