Freda Laughlin (nee King)
October 29, 1913 – April 26, 2015
We are saddened to announce the passing of our Mum, Freda Laughlin, on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
Mum is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Emily King; husband, Joe; sister Emily (Bert).
Survived by her children Joy (Bob), Jan, Vic (Janet), 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Freda was born and raised on Mary St. in Alberni. She will be remembered for her contagious giggles, her quirky antidotes of wisdom (one could never get her to repeat), and her drawing, crocheting and knitting skills. And, who said a great cook couldn’t bake? She was a master at both.
Freda’s funeral was held at
Yates Funeral home in Parksville with close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the SPCA.
